Daniel is the Artistic Director of the Kermidas Dance Company, which he founded back in 2005. Via dance, Kermidas uses his unique style of movement and story telling to immerse you into the world his stories. With emotional connection and relatability at the forefront, he reimagines classic tales into modern works of theater. His highlights being Wonderland, a magical retelling of the classic, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and Cinderella, a completely modern spin on the traditional tale of the same title. He has also choreographed many stand alone dance pieces and full concerts. 

In 2015 Kermidas wrote, directed and produced Golden Days - A New Musical. A World War II love story based in a small town in Upstate New York.

In 2019 in New York City, Kermidas co-choreographed along with Broadway legend Larry Fuller (Evita, Sweeny Todd, Merrily We Roll Along). Pitch Perfect: Songs From Across The Pond was a review of songs by London based writers and composers, making it the American premier of this material. 

Daniel collaborated with Courtney Buczkowski and Marchello DeMichele to write Higher Than Rainbows. Higher Than Rainbows, is a look at modern day teens and the new obstacles kids face in present times like gender identity, sexual orientation, and the emotional trauma of school shootings. At Pearl Studios in New York City, Kermidas directed and produced a workshop for a small intimate gathering of industry professionals. 

Dance has worked as a choreographer all over America, from being an associate Broadway choreographer to choreographing for small community theaters. Daniel has worked on a range things from choreographing full musicals to solo/duo and group choreography for studios. Encouraged by his mentors Daniel's style crosses many genres from classic broadway like Michael Bennett, Jack Cole, and Michael Kidd to story telling like Agnus de Mille, and a nuanced style of Bob Fosse. 

On the completion of his Bachelors of Science from The Los Angeles Film School, Daniel directed his fourth film, Jekar (2022). Jekar is a short film based in the Star Wars universe about a young person coming of age on the planet Jekar where they are no longer welcome.
